It is said to be one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world, where countless saints and sages have walked and bathed in the purifying waters of the Ganges lifting their hearts in devotional prayer to the Divine. Lord Shiva himself is believed to dwell eternally here blessing all who come in search of liberation.
