A 15-week intensive course

Saturdays, 9:00am-12:30pm

August 14 – November 20, 2021

  • Build spiritual power against troubled times
  • Remain calm in the face of challenges
  • Learn timeless techniques of self-mastery
  • Deepen your understanding of your inner self

Learn skills and develop attitudes that will help you cope with your life’s challenges in troubled times. Remaining centered in the midst of stressful situations, maintaining focus when one could feel overwhelmed, looking to the future without fear are all products of deepening one’s spiritual reality.

Raja Yoga is a comprehensive approach to life that develops calmness, physical well-being and an awareness of spiritual realities.

The secrets of success—personal magnetism, right attitude, creativity, and energy—form an integral part of the yoga science.

We will explore the practical wisdom of Yoga. You will learn how to apply yogic techniques and principles in your daily life.

You will learn how to meditate, how to do gentle yoga postures that can give you strength and confidence, and how the yoga lifestyle can uplift your life and lives of those around you.

Weekly classes include yoga philosophy and theory, pranayama, meditation techniques, healing techniques, yogic diet and health practices, and other yogic exercises.

This course is based on the Eight-Fold Path taught by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras and drawn from the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. It is open to all, whether new to yoga or wanting to deepen your experience. There are no prerequisites.

No organizational affiliation is needed or expected. Raja yoga is universal and nonsectarian.

The Raja Yoga Intensive is a foundational course and prerequisite for students interested kriya yoga preparation and initiation. It is also a prerequisite for the “Ananda Yoga Teacher Training” and “Ananda Meditation Teacher Training” certification series.

This course features the modern, now “classic” textbook by Swami Kriyananda, The Art and Science of Raja Yoga, and Lessons in Meditation, by Jyotish Novak.

ONLINE on Zoom: This class series will be online only.
