This class series will cover the techniques of scientific meditation based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi,  and provides the foundation to a daily meditation practice including energization exercises. These meditation techniques which are scientific and thus practiced to get verifiable results, can help you cultivate peace, relaxation, and greater joy regardless of outward circumstances.

Topics will include:

  • Why Meditate?
  • What is Meditation?
  • Correct Meditation Posture
  • How the Divine is Experienced
  • The Hong-Sau technique of concentration, a simple yet powerful technique
  • Yogananda’s Energization Exercises

For those interested in the sacred Kriya Yoga technique of Mahavatar Babaji, extolled in Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi, this course serves as the first of four courses that, upon successful and satisfactory completion of the courses, will culminate with an initiation into the sacred technique of Kriya Yoga.

Both types of seekers – those who want to receive kriya yoga and those who only wish to know more about how to meditate – will benefit from taking this class and learning the techniques of meditation taught by Paramhansa Yogananda.

This class series is $120, including all course material. Registrants will be sent a Zoom link.
