Ananda Yoga will expand your understanding and appreciation of yoga. Ours is a classical style, emphasizing the original essence of Yoga, resulting in the complete harmony of body, mind, and spirit. Ananda Yoga releases stress, relaxes the body, and helps redirect energy inward to expand and elevate consciousness.

Class sizes are limited to no more than fifteen students per class, making each feel more like your very own semi-private session—offered for the lowest prices in Santa Monica. Small class sizes ensure that you will receive an unparalleled level of personalized attention—in a caring, supportive, and safe environment.

Paul adjusts yoga asana

Each posture is paired with it’s own affirmation , designed to reinforce the asana’s natural effect on your state of consciousness, helping you to focus and uplift your mind as well as relax and rejuvenate your body. Our powerful, yet gentle, practice is suitable for all ages, body-types, and skill levels creating an unparalleled blend of spiritual upliftment and physical exhilaration.

Ananda Yoga is part of a larger system of Raja Yoga, which includes techniques of energization and meditation, including Kriya Yoga. For more information please visit the meditation pages.

Drop-in Guided Yoga

Classes take place in the yoga studio in suite 206 at the Ananda Los Angeles Center. Bring a yoga mat or blanket and wear comfortable clothing. You may wish to check the calendar, just to confirm that instruction will be taking place the day you are planning to come; sometimes holidays and special events result in a schedule change. Private Classes in Yoga and Energization Exercises

Personal instruction sessions:
At Ananda Los Angeles: $65 for an individual; $85 for 2 people; $100 for 3 or more.
Private instruction is also available on location (at student site) with pricing to be determined.

Brook

Brook Cassady

Brook Cassady is one of the premier leading Ananda Yoga teachers in the United States. For many years, she served as the coordinator and one of the primary teacher trainers for the international Ananda Yoga™ certification program. Brook has personally trained and certified hun­dreds of yoga teachers and taught yoga and meditation to tens of thousands of students on three continents. She is also licensed by Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500, the highest level of certifica­tion available. 

Brook is also the CEO of Ballujee, a company dedicated to offering yoga, meditation, and other wellness services inside corporations and organizations in the Los Angeles area. She also has an extensive private client practice.

More importantly, Brook is a kind, caring, and energetic teacher, wholly dedicated to helping her students succeed in all their physical, mental, and spiritual goals. Combining technical expertise with a supportive, delightful sense of fun, Brook will help you discover and build the deepest levels of fitness, well-being, inner peace, and happiness within yourself.



Oz

Ozro (Oz) Hepworth

Oz has been a Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher for over three years (in this lifetime). He's also been a Massage Therapist for more than seven years. The combination of these two abilities has given him a unique approach and the understanding to teach others how to incorporate yoga into their lives to improve their well-being on many different levels. 

Someone once said, "In order to be a great teacher, you first must be a great student."

Oz's natural passion for Yoga, its teachings and philosophy has been, and will always be, an encouraging reminder that life can always teach us something profound and meaningful, as long as we're willing to be its humble students no matter what.

Oz says, "I would love the seeds of my passion for Yoga to spread, settle and grow in the hearts of all those willing to cultivate a life of happiness, inner-peace, and harmony!" 



Paul Fetler

Paul

Paul has been on a committed spiritual path for over 20 years and has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. He is a certified Ananda Yoga Instructor. Through years of consistent yoga practice, Paul has increasingly experienced tremendous healing and transformation in his life on every level: mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. With deep joy and gratitude, he shares with others the gifts of the teachings of yoga he continues to experience.



Debbie Ocean

Ocean

Debbie is a certified Ananada Yoga Instructor. She brings 7 years of experience working in the Healing Arts and 5 years of Martial Arts experience to your yoga classes. Her focus is catering yoga to fit your body, mind and spirit, to guide you deeper into your own inner peace.
