Ananda LA Meditation Groups in
Your Neighborhood
Ananda Los Angeles oversees local meditation groups in several different locations around Los Angeles, Orange County, The Inland Empire, and Northern San Diego County.
What is a Meditation Group
A meditation group is a gathering of people interested in meditating together and supporting each other spiritually. There is no “typical” or rigidly structured format for a meditation group, except, of course, at least some portion of the time is spent meditating! Before or after meditating together, groups may have a general discussion, book study, practice affirmations or healing prayer, watch or listen to inspirational material, special events, or any number of other activities—including time for general socializing.
Attend a Group
If you would like to attend a group, just show up, no advance registration is necessary (though if you are coming for the first time, you may want to call in advance to ensure the group is indeed meeting that night).
Groups typically meet either weekly or bi-weekly either in member’s residences or in nearby public spaces. Meditation group leaders volunteer their time and efforts. There is no cost to join a meditation group. Regular attendance is entirely optional and you can attend any group, no matter how near or far from your residence, to which you feel drawn.
Start a Group
If you would like to find out more about how you can help start a group in your area, please contact us at our main phone number or email address and we would be glad to guide you. A specific interest in the teachings of Yogananda and Ananda is the only requirement to start or co-lead a group of your own—plus a generous dose of willingness!
